In the last few weeks I’ve been on the road a lot and working on the development of our own blogs; AgWired and AgNewsWire. In fact, all of the ZimmComm New Media blogs are doing very well as the traffic numbers and support shows. It just goes to show what a blog can do if you’re persistent and passionate about …
More People Listening to Podcasts Zune
I don’t think I’ve mentioned Microsoft’s new digital content player, the Zune but it’s now got an in-store date and price. I think this is important to note because Microsoft is not small deal in the business world and I’m guessing that if the unit plays like it’s described a lot of them will be bought, meaning that the audience for podcasts will just keep growing and growing and growing.
A Blogging & Podcasting Conference
Here’s a conference on blogging and podcasting that was just brought to my attention. Of course it’s in San Francisco. Not a bad place to visit in October. It’s being put on by the Advanced Learning Institute.
International Podcasting Expo

If you’re wondering about this podcasting thing then you should check out a company called Ralston360. They’ve created a virtual podcast for you that explains podcasting. This is high up on the cool factor and brought to my attention by Steve Rubel.
New Media Column In JCBT

The JCBT now has a regular column on new media authored by yours truly. In the August issue I got started by defining blogs, podcasts and RSS. In the coming months I’m going to be focusing on each of these new media tools separately and I hope to provide links to those stories when available.
Event Blogging Example

What do you call it when I attend an event and post numerous pictures, audio and even video files which are usually posted while the event is happening or immediately after it’s over?

Here’s some interesting findings:
Conducting Australian Workshop
I just finished a blogging and podcasting workshop with the Porter Novelli agency in Adelaide, Australia. I only wish I had been able to be there in person. This fine looking group did send me a picture from during the presentation. I had control of their computer with NetMeeting and we were on speakerphone.
