ZimmNews – May 27, 2016

Hello ZimmComm Fans:
We wish all of you a wonderful weekend as we commemorate the women and men who have died in military service to the United States of America. We support their families with our thoughts and prayers and give thanks for the freedom that they have given all for us to enjoy.
ZimmComm’s new General Manager, Clint Underwood, has successfully made the move with his family to Pensacola from Missouri. Starting next Wednesday he’ll be “in the office” and starting a new career. We welcome him and his wife Caitlin and their sons Cruz and Case. Caitlin will also soon be working for us as our new office manager.
Our latest ZimmPoll asked, “How concerned are you about feeding 9 billion by 2050?” A majority of respondents say they are concerned. However, there is a large percentage who are not concerned or don’t think we’ll ever reach 9 billion.
Our new ZimmPoll, sponsored by New Holland, asks, “What would a Bayer Monsanto buyout mean for ag?” Monsanto just turned down an offer from Bayer but left the door open for further discussion. What do you think?
Here’s some audio from this week you might have missed:
David Hunt, Cainthus, on digitizing ag practices
Dan Dhuyvetter, Ridley Block Operations, on beef production
Dr. Pearse Lyons, Alltech, the idea man
Robert White, RFA, on boating and ethanol
